Hats Off to Marge

Marjorye Savage Heeney will be honored at the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Georgia Neese Gray Distinguished Women Lecture Series. Heeney worked as a substitute teacher in Topeka for many years. Participants are invited to wear a hat to be donated and auctioned at the event. Hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar provided.

Is There a Baby in the House?

This is a series of four classes that will prepare new moms and dads for parenting, including hands-on training on everything from bathing to taking the baby's temperature. The class also will offer tips on how to evaluate baby products and perform infant massage.

From Girl to Woman

The time in a girl's life between 8 and 12 is one of dramatic physical and emotional changes. This program for girls and their mothers will address menstruation and other physical changes of puberty, the emotional upheaval of adolescence and communication techniques for mothers and daughters.
